Doctor
Dr. Peter J Muller , DVM Dr. Muller is affectionately know as "Senior" to staff and clients alike. Having graduated from LSU and Auburn University Veterinary School, he opened Briarcliff's doors over 40 years ago (1958) as a sole proprietor. Over the years, he built the business into one of the largest privately owned practices in the Southeast. Dr. Muller says that his favorite part of being a vet is "getting to know the families and people who own the pets and seeing their enjoyment in their four-footed family members." His enthusiam is contagious, as is his drive to find a solution to every problem. Whether it is his interest in Internal Medicine with a sick pet or finding a better way to serve our clients, he is always looking for answers. He and Mrs. Muller have a son and daughter and 4 grandchildren. They also have a dog at home: Lady, a silver chow. Dr. Muller's hobbies included fishing, boating, reading, and collecting. He is currently working on a book about duck decoys.

Dr. Muller, III, joined his father and other veterinarians at Briarcliff after graduating summa cum laude from University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. His interests lie in internal medicine and surgery. He has been board certified by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, and currently is the Medical Director of our hospital. Dr. Muller says that his favorite part of being a vet is "working with the family, kids and pets to solve medical, surgical and behavioral problems." He and his wife, Jamie, have 3 daughters and 2 cats, Boots and Honey. They recently lost their 13-year-old lab to age-related problems. Dr. Muller's hobbies include playing with his daughters and pets, aviation, hiking and going to the gym. |

Dr. Sandra L Hedge , DVM
Dr. Hedge worked in the clinic at Briarcliff during her college years at Oglethorpe University. She later graduated from University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine and joined the Briarcliff staff as a doctor. Her interests at the hospital include internal medicine and geriatrics. She says that her favorite part of being a vet is "seeing the animals get well, especially after a long illness or trauma. And getting to spend every day with the animals." Her love of animals is obvious to her loyal clients. Some of them are bringing their 2nd and 3rd generation of pets to her for care. Dr. Hedge has 2 poodles at home: a standard named Kaley and a miniature named Cricket. Her hobbies are photography, competition obedience, agility competition, and collecting miniature horses and poodles. |

Amanda Reeve , DVM |
Amanda S. Reeve, D.V.M
Dr. Reeve graduated from the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine in 1979. She is the daughter of a Veterinarian, Dr. Roy Stewart, who also graduated from UGA College of Veterinary Medicine in 1958.
She enjoyed helping her father in his practice every summer starting at age 15 until she graduated from Veterinary College. Then she worked with him full time until her husband's work took her to Nashville, Tennessee. She and her family eventually returned to Georgia. She has enjoyed working for Briarcliff Animal Clinic since 1993.
Growing up on a 10 acre farm in Douglasville enabled her to enjoy having horses, cows, chickens, a pig in addition to dogs, cats and pet birds. She especially enjoyed learning how to milk her own cow, Betsy. She now has a Cairn Terrier, two cats and two Zebra Finches.
She is married with two daughters. In addition to driving carpool and other school and church related activities, she enjoys dance aerobics, Nautilus weight training and playing the accordion.

Dr. Alison G Edelstein , DVM
Dr. Edelstein comes to us from Murfreesboro, Tennessee. After only three years of undergraduate work, she was accepted at Auburn University Veterinary School where she graduated magna cum laude. She loves doing surgery and says that her favorite part of being a vet is "the feeling I get when I'm able to make a sick pet feel better, but I also enjoy watching how happy the owners are when they see their pet back to it's old self again." Dr. Williams has a black lab name Wiggy and two cats, both black and white. Her hobbies include jogging, hiking, mountain biking, reading and hanging out with friends. |

Dr. Dianna Joseph , DVM

Dr. Joseph's hometown is Durham, NC. She received a BA from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL before coming back to North Carolina for her pre-vet requirements at North Carolina State University and her DVM from NC State's College of Veterinary Medicine. Her interests here at Briarcliff are Internal Medicine with a special interest in Cardiology and Geriatrics. Dr. Joseph "loves caring for people's animals and gaining the people's trust with this important member of their family. I love being there to help the pet when help is needed!" Dr. Joseph and her husband have two greyhounds, three domestic long-haired cats, one goldfish and a horse. Her hobbies include running and horseback riding. |

Jennifer Rudolph , DVM

Dr. Rudolph is originally from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She attended Auburn University for her undergraduate work in Zoology and then for veterinary school as well. Her interests at Briarcliff include internal medicine and preventative medicine. She enjoys interacting with clients and “helping animals to feel better and seeing their owners feel better, too.” Dr. Rudolph also loves the ocean and marine mammals. She has studied aquatic animal medicine in Woods Hole, Massachusetts and Sarasota, Florida and has also volunteered at The Dolphin Research Center in Grassy Key, Florida. She has a dachsund Sunny, and a fish, Surfee. In her spare time she enjoys going to the gym, trying new restaurants, traveling, reading, movies and shopping |

Elizabeth Busch , D.V.M. Dr. Busch grew up in Marietta, GA. She attended the University of Georgia for her undergarduate work, earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology, before going on to attend vet school there. After vet school, she followed her husband up to Ann Arbor, MI and practiced for 3 years while he earned his Master's Degree in Urban Design. She has now moved back to Georgia to be near family. Dr. Busch has one son, Mason, two crazy dogs, and one shy Siamese cat. Her hobbies include camping, traveling, and spending time with her family. Dr. Busch enjoys "the personal interaction with my client and patietn and finding a treatment plan that works for all three of us."

Betty Rudder , Controller Betty is originally from Quitman, Mississippi. She has a BS in accounting and an MBA from Mississippi College. Betty moved to the Atlanta area in 1996 from Texas. She has worked in the accounting profession for several years in Mississippi, Texas, and Georgia. Betty and her husband, David, have two sons, Chris and Ryan. She also has two cats, Yoshi and Max. Her hobbies include travel, reading, jogging, and hiking.
Ms. Nancy Loris , Practice Manager Nancy Loris originally began her career at Briarcliff Animal Clinic in 1977 as a kennel attendant and a surgery technician. She left in '78 and returned in 1991 as our office manager. Nancy, a Georgia native, enjoys spending time with her three children, Hanna, Steven, and Lisa and her grandchildren Chelsea and Clayton. Her furry family includes Zena, a terrier mix, and four cats: Buddy, Furbie, Lala, and Kitten. Nancy loves her job at BAC because she can, " play with wonderful animals anytime I want to!" |  View |
Bill Bergner , Assistant Practice Manager

Bill moved to Atlanta in the summer of 1997 to attend the Georgia Institute of Technology. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Science, Technology, and Culture, he joined BAC as a Veterinary Assistant in 2002 and adopted a dog named Begonia, a 50lb mixed shepherd. Since then he has joined the management staff of Briarcliff as serves as an assistant to Nancy Loris. |

Cecelia Saturday , Veterinary Technician - Hall Supervisor
Cecelia, a Georgia native, was born and raised in Atlanta. She began working for Briarcliff in 1987 and has held a variety of positions over the years. Cecelia is a very knowledgeable technician and was one of the first staff members asked to join the clinic's Doctor-Tech program. Cecelia is the proud parent of one son, Richard, and also shares her home with three furry family members, two dogs (Patch & Leroy) and one cat (Spud). In her spare time, Cecelia enjoys fishing at Lake Oconee. |  View |
Terry Drummond , Front Desk Supervisor Terry, a native of Atlanta started working at Briarcliff in Feb. 04 at the Front Desk. He comes to us with 8 years of customer service experience. After only 3 months, Terry was promoted to the Front Desk Supervisor. Terry says, "The best part of working at Briarcliff is seeing the appreciation of the clients because you've helped provide the best care." In his spare time, he enjoys working outdoors, renovating houses, and spending time with his two min-pins, Beauregard and Killian. Terry looks forward to his future career at Briarcliff and serving the Atlanta pet community. |  View |

Reception
Mary Phillips , Phone, Front Desk Receptionist Mary has lived all over the southeast, including North Carolina, Florida and Savannah. She moved to Atlanta in 1999 to attend Georgia Tech and began working at Briarcliff as a Kennel Attendant in 2001. Mary quickly advanced to Veterinary Technician after only four months, and in 2004 she was promoted to Head Technician. Mary currently has four cats, two of whom she adopted from Briarcliff because they required special care. She grew up with both dogs and cats and has always loved animals.
Farrar Brown , Certified Veterinary Technician Farrar has been part of the Briarcliff team since 1997. She has held many positions around the hospital succesfully working in every department. She is very intrested in veterinary medicine and has furthered her qualifications by becoming a board certified technician, as well as attending continuing education seminars in shockwave therapy, ultrasound, and radiology safeguards. She and her husband Cary recently welcomed a new baby to the family. Farrar has a dachshund Harvey and two cats. When she isn't working, Farrar enjoys golf, music, and the outdoors.

Shirley originally from Arkansas, came to work at Briarcliff in 1996. Shirley began at the front desk and within six months became the Front Desk Supervisor. She has worked hard and studied in supervisor conferences to become the worker she is today. Shirley is married with two sons Ta'vone and Anthony. She also has a dog of her own, Gismo, a Shih Tzu. Shirley says, "The best thing about working at Briarcliff is the communication and relationship with clients and their pets." |

Training
Richard Fischhof
| Richard has been a trainer for three years and has expertise in pet obedience including behavior problems, household manners and behavior modification. He has participated in Purdue University’s School of Veterinary Medicine’s ‘Principles and Techniques of Behavior Modification’ Seminar Series and Certification Course.
Richard possesses a real love for animals and has rescued many cats and dogs since relocating to Atlanta 30 years ago. He hails from Philadelphia and holds a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education from Slippery Rock University, and a Masters Degree in Physical Education from Georgia State University. He is also a Certified Mediator in the State of Georgia. Richard began his post-graduate career as a teacher. Now, after retiring from Bell South, he performs in-home private lessons and teaches group class in obedience and puppy kindergarten at Briarcliff Animal Clinic.
